This scarf features four colours, and is a warmer and thicker design, in worsted weight wool. It turns many traditional elements of knitted scarfs upside down (or at least rotated a bit) as the scarf is knitted lengthways, and also from the midline outwards.

If you want a narrower scarf or would prefer one of the edges to be straight, the second half doesn’t need to be knitted (it’s knitted from picked up stitches in what becomes the middle) – in which case the amounts of yarn you need will be roughly half what’s stated in this pattern.

Sizing:
After blocking: 180cm long x 40cm wide (depending on how hard you block). Regarding the length - it’s a repeated pattern so you can make it longer or shorter (but remember to adjust the amount of yarn you need!)

Yarn:
All yarns are worsted weight (200m per 100g), using Malabrigo Seis Cabos
Main colour (MC): Natural, 150g (300m)
Contrast Colour 1 (CC1): Molino 70g (140m)
Contrast Colour 2 (CC2): Indecita 80g (160m)
Contrast Colour 3 (CC3): Teal Feather 40g (80m)

Needles + notions
US size 7 needle / 4.5mm needle for main body. A 3mm is also extremely useful if you’re using a circular needle
(especially for tight knitters), as is a 5mm. But not the end of the world if you don’t have these.
160cm circular needle.
