• DESCRIPTION: This simple pattern goes by quickly and is easy to memorize. Make several for a housewarming gift, or to put in a care package for a new college student.

The Silt Stitch Washcloth is the second in my Washcloth Collection. Every other Saturday in 2021, I will release a washcloth pattern. Some will be lacy and light and some will be sturdy and dense. The first pattern of the month will typically, but not always, be free. The second will usually be paid.
At the end of the year, there will be an e-book for sale that contains all the patterns, plus 3 bonus patterns.
By the end of the year you will have a lovely collection of washcloths and you will probably have learned
some new stitches!

• GAUGE & SIZING: Gauge (tension) isn’t very important in this project. Play around with hook sizes until you find one that makes a fabric you like. This pattern is written to produce a washcloth roughly 9.5 inches by 9.5 inches. If you would like to change the size, simply chain the width you’d like, making sure it’s a multiple of 3, then add 1, then 2 more chains.

ch = chain
sk = skip
st = stitch
SC = single crochet
DC = double crochet
** = Repeat the instructions inside the asterisks the indicated number of times.
() Stitches within the parentheses are all worked into the same stitch
{ } The number inside brackets indicates the number of stitches in the row
