I was intending to make a knit flower but this appeared on my needles instead! This very simple embellishment could be added to a gift box, bag or bow. It could also dangle from a backpack or hair ornament. This knitted seaweed could even be a hanging vine in a dollhouse at the original or smaller gauge.
The variegated pearl cotton thread with a metallic ply added interest to this project but any yarn or thread would work. Cast on and bind off are the only 2 skills used in this pattern.

Skills needed: cast on and bind off.

Gauge is REALLY NOT important in this pattern. Any yarn or thread will work.

16 yards of #8 pearl cotton will make 1 seaweed frond with 23 blades.
