This is a bias knitted, adjustably sized shawlette/shawl. The shawlette pictured was knitted following the pattern with approximately 100 yards of yarn, give or take at maximum 100 yards; and is the size XS. This pattern can be knitted as large or as small as you like. The sizes given are women’s XS to XL. When calculating gauge don’t kill yourself counting the rows. The row count is variable. Count stitches. Without 24 stitches/4” your shawl won’t hang right.

Using the Malabrigo as an example. You will need two skeins to make the XL (800 yards). Th e sizing goes like this: XS (100-200 yards), S (200-300 yards), M (300-500 yards), L (600-700 yards), XL (800+ yards). Number of colors and skeins of colors is up to you. The sample was knitted from 1 skein, and yielded surplus yarn.

You will need:
Fingering weight yarn
A tapestry needle
A tailoring measuring tape
A pair of scissors
US size 5 3.75mm circular needles 36”.
