This pattern is the Fingerless Gloves Fanatics Mystery KAL for February 2020. A matching cowl pattern is now available.

Size: Adult S (M/L).

Measurements:
The small size will accommodate 23 cm/9” circumference of mid-forearm, and 17cm/6 ½“ circumference around palm. The medium/large size will accommodate 26 cm/10” circumference of mid-forearm, and 20cm/7 ½” circumference around palm. If you use a very stretchy cast on, such as the recommended Old Norwegian cast on, these mitts have a fair amount of give and will adjust to fit. A larger size needle with the small instructions will offer you a mitt somewhere between these sizes.

Materials:
•This pattern uses approximately 45 grams of fingering weight yarn. The pattern will work best with a solid or semi-sold colour yarn; a variegated or self-striping will not be as effective with the design of the mitt and the stitches used. Try to choose a yarn that has very good stitch definition – high twist to the spin.

•You will need 20 beads. You may choose a bead that contrasts strongly with the yarn colour, but the pattern would also work well with a similar or coordinating colour. If the bead colour is too close to the yarn colour, however, the beads might get lost and not be very visible.
•cable needle
•stitch markers
•1 set 2.5 mm US 1.5 DPNs, or two circ needles if you wish to work TAAT
•scrap yarn or stitch holder
•tapestry needle
•fine gauge crochet hook, dental floss or your preferred tool to add beads to your knitting.
