Skylord is two colour crescent shawl. It’s a combination of Wave stitch and a wide band of Herringbone, finished with an I-cord bind off. It is easy to adjust size, and the results are a satisfying squish to wrap around your neck. The crescent is long and thin so it is easy to wear as a scarf, but it has enough weight and stretch that if draped over the shoulders it will hang down nicely just past the shoulder blades.

Designed to showcase that one special skein, the herringbone stripe used only 1 skein of Hedgehog Fibres Merino DK (in Down By the River) and the body of the shawl used 2 skeins of Malabrigo Rios (in Kris).

For examples of how the herringbone stitch might look in your chosen yarn please see The Big Herringbone Cowl project pages.
