The Sloan Hat is the perfect versatile knitted gift for your loved ones. The pattern features done-for-you numbers for seven gauges and six sizes, and requires no swatching, so you can cast on right away and focus on the details. The Sloan Hat is worked top-down with four-point crown shaping featuring cabled increases and two finishing options.

For the two finishing options; a double-folded brim stitched down for a smooth finish on the inside of the hat with a brim that always stays in place. Alternatively, after the ribbing, work a second crown featuring cabled decreases that perfectly mirrors the first. This option creates a double-layer and is fully reversible, so by incorporating stripes, colour-blocking or self-patterning yarns you can end up with two completely different hats in one.
