Small Piggy Planter
I would describe this pattern as intermediate/advanced beginner but I provide links to video tutorials I’ve made for the trickier stitches/techniques in the pattern file in case you are still pretty new to crochet but just really want to try and make one of these cute piggies!
Materials needed:
-6.5 mm (US K) and 4.5 mm (US H) hook
-Worsted weight (ww) yarn in whatever color you like
TIP- use a cheap, acrylic yarn like Impeccable, Redheart Supersaver, CraftSmart Value, etc. because they are stiffer yarns and make your planter less likely to droop
-Stitch marker
-Small amount of black yarn/embroidery floss
-A small amount of stuffing (or even just yarn scraps)
-Scissors
-Embroidery needle
-2.5 - 2.75 inch diameter (widest/topmost diameter) pot. Should be about 2.5 inches tall.
Here’s what you’ll be doing in the pattern:
magic circle (tutorial link included in pattern file)
slip stitch
single crochet
half-double crochet
double crochet
increase
half-double crochet increase
invisible decrease (tutorial link included in pattern file)
crochet in back loop only
working in the round (both joined and continuous- tutorial link included in pattern file)
embroider nostrils/eyes
sewing crocheted pieces together
You may sell finished pigs you make from this pattern; however, PLEASE make sure to credit my shop for the pattern whether selling online or in person. It is NEVER, EVER okay to sell my pattern or distribute in it any way. It is totally lame to sell or take credit for someone else’s hard work. Thank you. ❤️
BECAUSE THIS IS A DIGITAL FILE, it is NOT ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND.
But, please contact me with ANY questions you have regarding the pattern. I’m happy to help!
