Snow Santa ornament is a little preview of my upcoming design “Christmas Eve Mittens”. The pattern is forever free. Enjoy!

Happy Holidays!

Materials
• US Size 1 (2.5mm) set of 5 dpns, tapestry needle
• Any fingering or light fingering yarn. For one ornament: about 50-55 yards (46-50m)
• Polyfill stuffing (polyester fiber fill)
Notes
1. Size: With recommended yarn, needles, and gauge the ornament will be about 9 ½“(24 cm) in circumference after stuffing. Larger needles and thicker yarn will produce a larger ornament.
2. Stranded colorwork: Follow the charts from right to left. Catch longer float using preferred method. Catching floats is not essential for this project but it will help maintain the tension. Make sure to secure any loose yarn ends inside the ornament. Weaving in the ends is not needed.
3. Duplicate stitch: the ornament is knit in only two colors (Background Color and Contrast Color 1). Details in other colors are added with duplicate stitch technique.
