This is a soft and drapey shoulder-warmer, call it a capelet or a loose cowl or a wrap…it’s knit in the round top-down and has a very simple lace pattern. Not a complicated pattern - an adventurous beginner can do it, and other more advanced knitters will enjoy its simplicity.

Can be knit in either fingering weight or a lace-weight mohair/alpaca blend, it’s as weightless as a cloud on your shoulders while providing warmth. Equally at home over a T-shirt or out on the town over a sleeveless dress…

One size fits many - it’s designed to be loose, but it would be very easy to add stitches or take some away to make it larger or smaller to fit your own unique size. The increases happen on the shoulder seams so it would be easy to adjust.
