Beret is knitted in the round from the bottom to the top.

Pattern directions are for one size. However, the tie can be adjusted to fit a large range of head sizes. Models in photos have 23” heads. The beret is meant to be quite slouchy.

There are two beret versions included in the pattern. The first uses two different yarns - Berlini Bunny Soft, with Caron Simply Soft for the ribbing and I-cord tie. Pom-poms are made with the Bunny Soft yarn. Buy two balls of Bunny Soft and one skein of Simply Soft for this version. (You will have enough Simply Soft left over to make version two of the hat as well, if you desire.)

The second version is knitted using only Caron Simply Soft yarn, and features a tie embellished with crocheted hearts. Buy only one skein of Caron Simply Soft yarn for this version.

The designer intentionally used needle sizes considerably smaller than what are normally used for these yarns.

Super easy pattern that can be completed in a day or two.
