The socks are knitted toe up, the gusset increases are made at the sole of the foot, then the heel is shaped with short rows and decreases, after that the cuffs are knitted and finished with a picot edge that’s sewn to the WS.

The colorwork pattern has floats of only three stitches at most, making it beginner friendly and easy to remember.

Choose the size based on the finished sock’s width since the length of the sole is easy to adjust.

I made the socks in size 2 and my feet are the size of EU 39 / UK 6 / US 8 :)

Finished Sock’s Measurements:
Length of the foot (A):

23, 25.5 (26.5, 27.5) cm
9, 10 (10⅜, 10⅞)”

Sole’s circumference (B):
18.5, 20 (22.5, 24) cm
7¼, 7⅞ (8⅞, 9½)”

Circumference of the widest part (C):
24, 25.3 (29.3, 32) cm
9⅜, 10 (11½, 12½)”

Cuff’s length measured above the heel:
10 cm / 4”, or desired length

Gauge:
30 sts x 36 rnds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4”, in the colorwork pattern, after blocking

Needles:
3 mm / US 2.5 circular needles, with 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40” cable, if you use the Magic Loop -technique, or 3 mm / US 2.5 DPNs. Adjust needle size to match gauge.

Yarn:
The socks are made with one strand of DK / sport -weight yarn.
The sample socks are made with Novita Nalle (75% wool, 25% polyamide, 260 m / 284 yds per 100 g), in colors 010 (main color), 539 (contrast color 1) and 519 (contrast color 2).
