The measurements are based on the size of the sweater after washing. It is recommended to stay true to size.

Hand dyed Chunky baby alpaca, 100% baby alpaca wool from. Super soft and wonderful thread to work with. Each hank consists of 100 m in 100 gr.

Circular needles 40 and 80/100 cm in 6 mm

Circular needles 40 cm in 5 mm for neckline

5 x DPN 5mm needles for cuffs

Tapestry needle for stitching the threads and sewing the neckline

Scrappy yarn or extra needles for holding the sts

10 x stitch markers.

Tension gauge sample

Be sure to check your own tension before starting to knit.

Cast on 16 stitches and knit 21 rows on needles size 6 mm to get a 10 x 10 cm sample.

If the swatch is too small, change to a thicker needle.

If the swatch is too big, change to a thinner needle.

Good to know

The cardigan is knitted top down, in back and forth fashion. Stitches are increased until the cardigan has the right width. Sleeve stitches are then set aside at the armpits and the body completed first. Then the sleeves are knitted in the round from the armpits. The button holes are part of the inner edge and are knitted last.

The quantity of yarn required is based on an average, and is therefore approximate. The cardigan can be knitted in any yarn that consists of the same thickness as Chunky baby, and in the desired colour combination.
