Philly Skull Cowl is a stranded colorwork cowl featuring a bold skull motif. Knit in DK-weight yarn, it’s cozy, eye-catching, and perfect for spooky season — or anytime you want a little edge in your wardrobe.

This design was inspired by some recycled cashmere I found at South Philly Yarn & Craft. I couldn’t resist pairing the yarn with a row of skulls for a modern take on a classic accessory. The cowl is offered in two sizes — a taller version for maximum coziness, and a shorter version if you prefer a lighter layer or want to conserve yarn. Both versions work beautifully in high-contrast colors, but this is also a great pattern to experiment with variegated or color-changing yarns for the skull motif.

• Two versions included:
– Tall Cowl: approx. 11” height × 24” circumference
– Short Cowl: approx. 8” height × 24” circumference

• Skills: Knitting in the round, stranded colorwork, reading a chart.

• Pattern includes: Full written instructions, chart in both light-on-dark and dark-on-light versions for ease of use.

• Yarn used: Bettaknit Re-Cashmere (DK, recycled cashmere). Samples shown in:
– Black (MC) with Tan (CC) – tall version
– Tan (MC) with Black (CC) – short version
