Items made from these knitting/crochet patterns have been designed to fit 28-30 cm (11-12 inch) fashion dolls. The trend for fashion dolls began with Barbie in 1959 and Sindy in 1963 and the designs presented here are based on vintage traditional patterns from the 1960s with a modern twist.

Spring Collection: Straight skirt, sleeveless jumper, short-sleeved dress, long-sleeved dress, brimmed hat, shoulder bag, purse, flowers and floral headband. Complete collection of items can be knitted with one 100g ball of yarn.

Stitches for the two different yarns: The number of stitches/rows for the 4-ply fingering/sock yarn are shown first, followed by the number of stitches for double knitting yarn which are shown in square brackets .

Yarn Suggestions
James C. Brett – Fuzzy Feetz (4-ply/fingering yarn), Shh (double knit), Fairground (double knit), Baby Twinkle (double knit)
Stylecraft – Head over Heels (4-ply/fingering yarn), Special DK (double knit)
Elasticated sock yarn is another option and provides increased flexibility to allow for slight variations in fashion doll sizes.
