These little lace scarves were inspired by the spring pinks in my garden and a night full of stars! The pattern features a diamond-shaped lace design that resembles spring petals or starry diamonds, and it comes in two sizes.

Materials:
• 3.5mm / US size 4 needles, or size needed to meet the required gauge.
• Tapestry needle for sewing in threads.
• Blocking materials.
• The scarf is worked with one strand of fingering weight yarn held together with one strand of lace weight yarn; a mohair/silk blend is used for samples. The small sample (pink) is worked in Miss la Motte Cloud Lace - 70% mohair, 30% silk, 425m / 465yds per 50g and Big Fox Yarn Perfect Sock – 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon, 366m / 400yds per 100g, and is shown in colourways Turksvy (Kid Silk) and Pink Robyn (Perfect sock) with approximately 180 m / 197 yards required of each yarn. The large sample is worked in cowgirlblues Kidsilk - 70% mohair, 30% silk, 425m / 465yds per 50g and Dreamspell Dyeworks Sock – 75% superwash merino, 25% nylon, 366m / 400yds per 100g, and is shown in colourways Colour 4 (Kid Silk) and Medea (Sock) and approximately 260 m / 284 yards is required of each yarn.

Size:
Two sizes: 1 (2) – The scarf measures 13cm (20cm) / 5” (7.75”) by 136cm (149cm) / 53.5” (58.75”). The length of the scarf is easily adjusted by adding extra repetitions of Chart 3 but changes will alter yardage requirements.

Gauge:
26 stitches and 30 rows = 10cm / 4” in lace pattern, worked flat and blocked. Working to gauge is not vital for this pattern, but a change in gauge will alter yardage requirements.
