The Staghorn Cable Cat Vest is a cozy harness-friendly vest for cats to stay warm when going out on chillier days. And it knits up in just 3-4 hours!

The vest is worked bottom up, first in the round and then the armhole stitches are bound off and the front and back panels are each worked flat. A horizontal buttonhole is worked in the cabled back panel that the cat’s harness loop can poke out for you to connect the leash.

Sizing Guide: Available sizes are XS, S, (M, L), XL for chest measurements of: 10”, 14”, (18”, 20”), 23” and neck measurements of: 5”, 9”, (11”, 13”), 15”. Measure your pet snugly around their chest (right behind their front legs) and around their neck. Pick a size that is within 2” of their body measurements. If you are between two sizes, size down for wiggly cats that are prone to taking off garments, otherwise size up.

Notions: stitch markers, cable needle, darning needle.

If making this for a hairless cat I’d suggest using a soft, non-itchy wool to avoid discomfort.
