The Twists and Tangles Beanie is my first ever hat design! It’s a heavily cabled hat that’s worked from the bottom up and has an optional pom pom. It features right- and left-facing cables and shaping that keeps the cables going to the very top of the hat.

The pattern includes both a written version and charts for all the cabled and decrease sections.

I made a version of this hat when I first started knitting, testing out different cables and shaping as I went, ripping out entire sections very often. Now that I’m a more experienced knitter, I wanted to write down my pattern and revamp it a little! I’m so much happier with the shaping this time around and am very excited to share it! I hope you’re excited to knit it too!
