The Starlet Beanie is a soft double-layered beanie, that is folded inside itself for extra warmth.

SIZE INFORMATION:

Sizes: 1 (2)

Size fitting: Sizes 1 (2) are equivalent for a head circumference of 54-56 (57-60) cm 21¼–22 (22½–23½) inches. The hat has approximately 9 cm 3½ inches of negative ease, as alpaca yarn tends to stretch slightly with wear.

Choosing the size: Measure your head circumference at the widest part of your head, above the ears. If your head measures, for example, 55 cm 21¾ inches, the corresponding size is 1. If your head measurement falls between two sizes, such as 56.5 cm 22¼ inches, I recommend rounding up to size 2.

DETAILS:

Yarn: 100 (120) g Wool Me Once Bumblebee Suri DK (100 g / 225 m 246 yds)

Needles: 5 mm US 8 / 60 cm 24 inches circular needles and 5 mm US 8 DPNs. The suggested needle size is indicative and you should choose the needle size based on your knitting tension to achieve the correct gauge.

Other supplies: crochet hook (around 6 mm US J-10), stitch markers, measuring tape, scissors, tapestry needle, and a piece of leftover yarn (such as wool or cotton)

Gauge: 13 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches, in stockinette stitch, knitted with 5 mm needles. The swatch should be gently blocked.
