Stella Cardi is a light and airy cardigan that fastens at the collar. It is worked from the top down and mostly flat, except for the sleeves, which are worked in the round.

Sizing: Sizes 1 (2) 3 (4) 5 (6) 7 (8) 9 (10) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95) 95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm 29½–31½ (31½–33½) 33½–35½ (35½–37½) 37½–39¼ (39¼–43¼) 43¼–47¼ (47¼–51¼) 51¼–55 (55–59) inches. The cardigan has approximately 15 cm 6 inches of positive ease

Choosing the size: Choose your size based on your bust circumference or the widest part of your upper body. Measure your bust circumference at the widest part of your bust. If your measurement is, for example, 91 cm 35¾ inches, the corresponding size is 4. If your measurement falls between two sizes, such as 95 cm 37½ inches, you can choose whether you would like the cardigan to fit slightly closer (size 4) or slightly more relaxed (size 5).

Yarn: 250 (275) 275 (300) 325 (350) 375 (400) 425 (450) g Filcolana Tilia (25 g / 210 m 230 yds) or Gepard Kid Seta Silk Mohair (25 g / 210 m 230 yds) or Isager Silk Mohair (25 g / 212 m 232 yds) or Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (25 g / 225 m 246 yds).

The cardigan is worked with three strands held together.

Needles: 5 mm US 8 / 40, 60 and 100 cm 16, 24 and 40 inches and 3.5 mm US 4 / 40, 60 and 100 cm 16, 24 and 40 inches circular needles. If you prefer, 5 mm US 8 and 3.5 mm US 4 DPNs for the sleeves.

(The suggested needle sizes are a guide. Choose the needle size based on your knitting tension to achieve the correct gauge. If you knit tightly, choose larger needles. If you knit loosely, choose smaller needles.)

Other supplies: 3 buttons (approx. 15 mm 1/2 inches in diameter), stitch markers, measuring tape, scissors, tapestry needle, sewing needle (that fits through the button hole) and sewing thread for attaching the buttons.

Gauge:

• Stockinette stitch: 15 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches, on 5 mm US 8 needles.
• 2x1 ribbing: 19 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm 4 x 4 inches, on 3.5 mm US 4 needles.

Size 10 (for bust circumference of 140–150 cm (55–59 inches)) has not been test knitted. If you’re interested in knitting size 10, I can send the pattern for free for a little feedback!:)
