There are few images as evocative as the full moon in a star-filled winter sky above a blanket of white snow. There is something terrifying and yet comforting in the aspect of the moon in a vast expanse of darkness.

The Stella Luna Collection celebrates the phases of the moon and the winter skies with Scandinavian and Baltic inspired knitting techniques that result in head-turning knits to wear and show off – cozy works of art.

The Stella Luna Stocking is a detailed and rewarding project. An heirloom quality knit that will engage experienced knitters and adventurous novices alike.

The pattern includes detailed and guideline versions of the pattern, 9 charts and written instructions for the various motifs, schematic explaining the chart management, instructions and links to video tutorials for the different techniques, and an appendix with notes and tips on techniques used, and yarn selection and substitution.

Each stocking requires 2 contrasting yarns, 370-400 yards/338-365 meters of the Main Colour (the purple in the sample); 175-200 yards/ 160-183 meters of the Contrast Colour (the gold in the sample) of a yarn that weighs in at 428 yards/391 meters per 115 grams/4 ounces.

As written the stocking measures 24.25 inches/ 61.5 cm long and 7 inches/17.75 cm wide laid flat. One can easily increase or decrease gauge or yarn weight to increase or decrease size.

Pay What Works

Inspired by Francoise Danoy of Aroha Knits I will be using a Pay What Works model for my pattern. I encourage you to check out her patterns for more information.

This model is an effort to both respect and value the worth of the work done by the designer and those involved in producing the pattern and to acknowledge that ours is not an inexpensive pursuit and that finances can be a barrier to engagement and participation.

The Ravelry price is the true price of the pattern. To purchase the pattern at a price point that is more accessible to you the coupon codes below can be used at checkout. The prices indicate the price you will pay, not the discount amount. No coupon code is needed for the base price for the pattern (highest price point).

LadyO1 - $7.50
LadyO2 - $9.00
LadyO3 - $12.00
NO CODE - $15.00

Please note for those located in Europe and Australia taxes are added automatically at checkout.
