Sub-Zero is a snug fitting cowl with a chevron detail that protects the mouth and nose from the cold, when worn with the point at the top. It can be worked on DPNs, a 16” circular, or using magic loop.

I used an assortement of DK and worsted yarn from my stash. Gauge does not need to be exact. The yarn amounts are estimated because they will change slightly, depending on the combination of yarns you use. I would not recommend anything lighter than DK or heavier than worsted, however.

The chevron-style shape is worked from the top of the cowl down and is created using a mitered decrease in the center.

If you prefer to skip the stripes you can knit it in one color, two colors, or any combination really, go right ahead!
