Súile means eyes in irish. While I was working on this pattern, my first intention was to explore the Irish tradition of cable knitting.

Cables could tell a story, and the story that I would like to share is based on my need for an amulet - something that could help me to remember the importance of creating things. As a craft worker, I see with my hands - my link with the world. This amulet blesses the hands with the urgency to create and affect the world through craft.

The hand warmers are worked from the bottom up with a very fun cable motif. We will increase stiches for the thumb. Knit the palm and finish with the thumb. I recommend using non-superwash yarn for a very cozy and warm result.
