Once you knit a pair of socks, you’ll see how gratifying this project can be. I was inspired by traditional Kazakh art and drew a sketch of the future pattern. This is a basic, cuff-down sock pattern with a lovely Kazakh ornament - the pattern is easily recognizable, but not stereotyped, it will look actual and cute in your life. Ornamental part of stranded knitting design is worked with two colours per row, has only 13 rounds in height and tiny sections of one colour. I wish you get a nice pair of socks with elements of the Kazakh national pattern.

CONSTRUCTION AND KNITTING SKILLS
These socks are knitted in the round with DPN or circular needle, cuff-down, French heel, rounded toe, seamless closure using the Kitchener stitch. The part of stranded knitting design is worked with two colours per row with floats. The pattern is quite simple, easy to remember, suitable for learning and practising stranded knitting skills using two threads.

YARN SUGGESTION
Use any classic uni or gradient coloured sock yarn.
My socks are knitted with Lana Grossa Meilenweit Uni, 80% virgin wool, 20% polyamide, 420m/100g; Opal, 75% virgin wool, 25% polyamide, 425m/100g.
Use any other yarn with similar characteristics. You will need 〜60-70 gr. yarn of the main colour, 〜30-40 gr. additional colour.

There are video tutorials, how to work with two colours of yarn in stranded knitting, how to kitchener stitch the toe of your sock and how to weave in all the yarn ends.
