NOTES
The Summer Fields Top combines knitting and sewing for a truly unique making experience. The lower portion is sewn first from
woven fabric (see the separate PDF for Part 1: Sewing Instructions). Once the lower portion is complete, stitches are picked up
along the upper edge, and the yoke is knit upwards to the neck from there. The pattern is appropriate for advanced beginners of
either craft.

Bust size: 30 32, 34, 36, (38, 40, 42) {44, 46, 48} (50, 52, 54, ) 56, 58, 60

Yarn : Birch Hollow Fibers Morrison MCN Sock, 80% superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon, 435 yards (398 m) per 100g
skein, color: Corset, 1 skein (all sizes)

Needles: US 5 (3.5mm) circular or straight needles or size to obtain gauge. If using circular needles 24 (60cm) or 36” (120cm)
will work well.

Gauge: 24 stitches & 40 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch, blocked.

Other Materials: Tapestry needle, a large, sharp sewing needle with an eye large enough for your yarn, stitch markers, scrap
yarn or stitch holders, straight edged ruler, tape measure, tailor’s chalk, fabric marking pen. If you use any type of
disappearing ink marking pen, be sure to test it on a piece of scrap fabric first.
