You will be knitting this piece horizontally instead of vertically. That means you cast on a large amount of stitches that will equal the desired width of your wrap. You’ll want to cast on enough stitches in order to wrap it around you, but not so many that it’ll be cumbersome to use or wear. You will be casting on many more stitches than perhaps you’re used to, but you will knit far fewer rows.

In the two color version (as shown) there is a mathematical flow to the pattern, however it ends with the solid color in order to keep it to 2 skeins.

This wrap can be knit in a few weekends, or less if you’re a fast knitter. A gorgeous gift or timeless accessory, this wrap is a conversation starter - guaranteed! You will be using size 9 needles to create loose stitches, in order to achieve a light and cozy wrap.

Using smaller needles normally associated with this weight yarn would create a tighter, thicker fabric that would feel more ‘sweater like.’ If that is your preference, you will have to simply adjust the gauge and cast on more stitches to achieve your desired wrap length.

Instructions included for knitting the wrap in a single color.
