SUNSET WRAP

The sunset wrap is crocheted using the overlay mosaic crochet technique.
With this design I have used 3 different colors, but because of the way the stitches are placed, there is no need for carrying yarn.

If you are new to this technique, start by doing the little sample pattern/photo tutorial that is included in the pattern. This will teach you the basic overlay mosaic technique needed to create this design.

Included in the pattern is also info on how to easily adjust the size, which allows you to create a blanket, a scarf etc using the same pattern.

YARN INFO:

  • 1 x Scheepjes cotton whirl 226g/1000m, “Spellbound” - Monochrome Magic Series (735).
  • 1 x Scheepjes cotton whirl 226g/1000m, “Sunspell” - Monochrome Magic Series (741).
  • 1 x Scheepjes whirl 215g/1000m, “Shrinking violet” - Ombré Collection (558).

These are the colors I used as they reminded me of a beautiful sunset. I also decided to mix Scheepjes whirl and Scheepjes cotton whirl together. This is an option, but you can also go full cotton whirl or full normal whirl.
You can basically use whatever yarn you like. The only rule is, that you need 3 different colors.
Mix and match bold colors or make something in a simple color palette.
You can also use whatever weight you want. If you want to use the design for a blanket, a DK weight would make it work up a lot faster.
Whatever yarn you use, the proportions of the design will stay the same.

HOOK INFO:

I have used a hook 2.5, but you can also use a hook 3 or even 3.5 if that suits you better when using Scheepjes whirls. Just keep in mind that you might want to alter the foundation chain length if you use a bigger hook.
I always reccomend using the hook that works best for you, with whatever yarn you are using <3
