This pattern is named after my mother’s best friend. They met when my mom opened a wool store in Sherwood Park in the 1980s and have been friends ever since. Alice was born and raised in the Shetland Isles before moving to Canada. When she decided she could no longer knit she gifted to me her Fair Isle pattern books and her hand-written charts. She loves bold bright colours and designs. This is for you, Alice.
