Inspired by all things sweet, this pattern was designed to be made with love.

This pattern uses overlay mosaic crochet technique and is written in English, using US crochet terms.

The pattern has both visual pattern charts & written instructions. There are 22 chart sections included that make up the design, each with corresponding row instructions. The instructions and chart are for just the main design, not including any borders.

With this pattern you can make a smaller or larger finished blanket than my sample, with just less or more repeats. My sample is a narrow throw blanket that measures approximately 80 cm x 175 cm (31.5 ins. x 70 ins.) not including the fringe or a border.

Some knowledge of overlay mosaic crochet technique is recommended. The pattern includes simple instructions on overlay mosaic crochet and for reading the chart, but does not teach how to do overlay mosaic crochet.

Yarn: I have made my blanket with DK / 8 Ply Yarn, using a 4.0 mm hook. You can use any yarn you like for this pattern, though contrasting colours make the design look best.

For the sample I used:
Colour A (background) - Moda Vera Shadow 8 ply Yarn - total 8 skeins in colour Pastels
Colour B (design) - 4 Seasons Brighton Cotton Blend 8 ply - total 17 skeins in colours Red (9 skeins) and Blush Melange (8 skeins)

For colour B, I used a mix of 2 colours. You can just use just one colour for all of Yarn B (or as many colours as you like) so I have just included a total quantity amount for colour B.

I later decided to add a border to my sample blanket, which used an additional 2 skeins of the Moda Vera Shadow Yarn.
