This pattern is for a beautiful table runner. The finished size is:
23” long by 7 1/2” wide, so it is a nice table runner for a small desk or end table. If you continue the pattern, you could make it to fit any size table, but just know you will need more yarn to make it longer. This is a great filet pattern for a beginner, as it is symmetrical, so if you forget which direction to go, it will turn out the same It’s a great pattern to get your feet wet and try out filet, and doesn’t take a lot of yarn.

Included with the directions are youtube videos to hep you understand how to read a filet crochet chart, and how to do a chainless foundation row, which is my preferred way to start. You do not have to do it that way, but it gives a more finished edge in my opinion.

Feel free to make these smaller for great coasters as well!
