If you were looking for a true gem to add to your wardrobe, you’ve just found it. Teemant Slipover combines the classic, timeless look with an edgy twist.

Teemant is a loose-fitting slipover with a round neckline, knitted top-down with European shoulders. The front features a striking geometric roosimine pattern which gave this design its name (“teemant” means “diamond” in Estonian). A perfect garment for both chic and casual outfits.

The pattern comes with a video tutorial showing the roosimine Estonian inlay technique. You will be able to make it even if you have no experience with this technique - as was proven by test knitters!

You can also make it plain, without the roosimine pattern for a classic, versatile garment.

Sizes
The slipover is graded in 10 sizes and meant to be worn with 7-15 cm / 2.75-6” postive ease. Full bust circumference of the finished garment: 83, 92, 101 (110, 119, 128, 137) {146, 155, 164} cm / 33, 37, 40.5 (44, 47.5, 51, 55) {58.5, 62, 65.5} “

Please note that sizes 7, 9 and 10 weren’t tested due to the lack of test knitters. If you would like to knit one of them, please let me know so that we can arragne an individual test knit for you.

The featured slipover was made in size 2 and is worn with 7 cm / 2.75” ease, the model is 169 cm / 5‘6.5” tall.

Yarn
MC: Light DK weight yarn (ca. 200-225 m / 219-246 y in 100 g).
Approximate amounts (with 10% extra): 500, 530, 580 (630, 780, 850, 900) {960, 1030, 1100} m / 550, 580, 630 (690, 855, 930, 985) {1050, 1125, 1200} y

CC: For the roosimine pattern you can use DK yarn held double (e.g. Daisy from Drops) or single strand of aran weight yarn (e.g. Alpaca Bris from Viking Garn, Alaska or Air from Drops). Choose yarn which is not slippery, preferably non-superwash: two colors, ca. 30 m / 33 y (with yarn held double) each.

Featured slipover was knitted with Laine x Novita DK Deep Burgundy as MC and Drops Daisy col. no. 17 and golden (naturally dyed by Meadow Art Yarn) as CC1 and CC2.

Needles
Circular needles, 80-120 cm / 32-47”, 4 mm (US 6) (or other size to obtain gauge in stockinette stitch).
Circular needles, 40-60 cm / 16-24”, 3.5 mm (US 4) (or 0.5 mm smaller than gauge).

Gauge
In stockinette stitch, worked in the round and in rows, after wet blocking, on 4 mm (US 6) needles: 22 sts x 29 rnds / rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4”.

In twisted rib, worked in the round and in rows, after wet blocking, on 3.5 mm (US 4) needles: 24 sts x 40 rnds / rows = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4”.

Wzór jest rozpisany w 10 rozmiarach. Zalecany luz 7-15 cm. Obwód kamizelki w klatce piersiowej: 83, 92, 101 (110, 119, 128, 137) {146, 155, 164} cm.

Prezentowana kamizelka została wykonana w rozmiarze 2, noszona jest z 7 cm luzu przez modelkę o wzroście 169 cm.

CC: Na wzór roosimine można użyć podwójnej nitki grubości DK (np. Daisy od Drops) lub pojedynczej grubości aran (np. Alpaca Bris od Viking Garn, Alaska lub Air od Drops). Włóczka nie powinna być śliska, najlepiej nie superwash. Potrzeba ok. 30 m (przy podwójnej nitce) w dwóch kolorach.

Prezentowana kamizelka została wykonana z Laine x Novita DK Deep Burgundy jako MC i Drops Daisy kol. 17 i złoty (naturalnie farbowany przez Meadow Art Yarn) jako CC1 i CC2.
