These textured diaper cover shorts would look so cute alone on a boy or girl for a photography session or to wear with an outfit as shorts or bloomers. The textured design not only looks cute, but adds some detail and extra fluffiness to the solid color shorts.

These shorts are easy to make with no color switching. It’s worked in the round, so there is no sewing pieces together. The new rounds start on the side so the “seam” is hidden whether you photograph baby from the front or back.

The pattern I’ve written is very detailed, using a combination of U.S. crochet terminology, English written notes, and color pictures to help explain what to do. If you can Double Crochet, I’ll show you how to make the other stitches I use, which are based on the Double Crochet stitch.

As a bonus, I’ll also show you how to work the textured pattern down the legs to make full pants (last two pictures), so you get two patterns in one!

Soft Worsted Weight Yarn
Crochet hook H8/5mm
Yarn Needle and Scissors for finishing off.
