This pattern is inspired by my friend Annie. I visited her while she was pregnant with her first child and was inspired by a toy her mum had made for her. I wanted to create a pattern that is beginner-friendly, so even those just starting out on their knitting journey can make something special. It’s designed to be accessible, and allows you to create a meaningful, handmade gift for someone you love.

It uses 60g of DK/8ply yarn however any yarn of your choosing can be used of similar weight. Its relaxed, forgiving nature allows you to experiment and make it your own with.

Video tutorials are attached for simple techniques used including long-tail cast-on method, selvedge stitch and casting off.

The piece measures 25cm from the feet to the ears.
