This pattern has been created through Knit for Wildlife’s “Knitters in Residence”. Exploring the global decline of seabirds through the remarkable story of Vega World Heritage. A unique symbiosis between people and eiders.
The Eider House Hat is knit in the round from the bottom up. It features a rolled edge with a chevron braid. Chevron braids also border the colourwork band. Stranded colourwork is used to create the colourwork motif which is inspired by the eider duck houses of Vega, Norway.
