This pattern includes knit and crochet. The pattern is for easy knit mitts with very easy crochet thumb gussets. Each mitt is identical.

“The Elsie Mitts” are part of a series of free patterns that I am offering on Ravelry. These fingerless mitts are both knitted and crocheted. The body of the mitts are knitted and then the thumb gusset is crocheted. These mitts are very easy and are quick-to-make fingerless mitts, with the two mitts being identical. There are no left and right mitts, and no tiny thumb gussets to knit. Because they are fast and easy, they make a great gift to go along with The Elsie Cowl, also a free pattern.

Gauge: Medium tension for both knit & crochet sections.

Skills required:
Knit and purl
knit 2/purl 2 rib
Knit 2 together (k2tog)
Stockinette stitch in the round and flat
Regular bind off
Crochet slip stitch
Crochet chain
Single crochet
Single crochet 2 together (sc2tog)
