THIS PATTERN IS A MODIFICATION OF THE ORIGINAL EVER AFTER EARS PATTERN, BUT YOU DO NOT NEED THE ORIGINAL VERSION TO COMPLETE THIS PATTERN. THIS
VERSION IS THE “NO-GLUE” OPTION AND DOES NOT REQUIRE A HOT-GLUE GUN AS A TOOL FOR THE FINAL ASSEMBLY OF THE EARS. PLEASE CHECK OUT THE WOVEN TALES DESIGNS PATTERN STORE HERE ON RAVELRY FOR THE ORIGINAL (GLUE-REQUIRED) PATTERN.

This is an experienced beginner - intermediate level pattern, written in US terminology. Pictures and graphics are also included to help you visually understand the creation process. The edition of this pattern is for those using worsted weight yarn OR chunky weight yarn--both versions of the pattern are included in the pattern purchase. This pattern is written to include sizes child (ages 4 – 9) and adult. It is formatted as such: Child/Adult ≈ Sc 4/6.

The only difference in size between the child and adult size, is the circumference of the ears and the width/height of the bow.

I would strongly advise against using 100% cotton yarn for your yarn selection. Due to the lack of elasticity in the fibers of cotton yarn, the increase stitches in the mouse ear bases will create less than ideal holes throughout the piece.

Because this pattern modification relies on using the FO tails and slip knot tails for sewing the pieces together, it is VERY important that when selecting yarn, you do NOT choose yarn that easily breaks with tugging and pulling—such as single-ply or roving style yarns.

There are two sets of videos used to help with the visual guides to the written instructions of this pattern. These two sets of videos are available in the Right-handed version, and the Left-handed version.
