I live in Canada, and the only thing with any colour in the winter time are the beautiful evergreen trees.

My inspiration for this sock pattern came from the two majestic blue spruce trees and a row of hardy cedar trees in my front yard, close to the road. They are strong survivors of many ice and wind storms.

These socks have pretty lace trees all around the leg, a heel flap and gusset, and rounded toe. The foot is knit plain, apart from a little railroad track just before the toe.
