The Eye of Nina
This scarf was inspired by my good friend Nina (pictured at right) with her birthday wish of receiving a ‘red and black’ scarf. As a lover a fine fabrics, I think this scarf is absolutely delicious made out of the cotton/silk blend. The lightweight cotton makes the scarf wearable in all kinds of weather. The smooth silk adds just a touch of softness making you want to wear it all the time. Being double-knit, the Eye of Nina is also warm enough to wear in wintery weather.
The double knit technique uses two different coloured yarns which are knitted at the same time. The technique creates a double-thick material with identical image on both sides, but reversed colours.
