The I Smell Snow Blanket was originally
designed to go along with the 2025
Kenya’s Knits Yarn Countdown Calendar,
which is themed after Gilmore Girls
season 2 ☕

This project is designed to use up 24
mini skeins (20g each) and one full
skein (100g). If you don’t have an
advent/countdown calendar, it’s also an
amazing way to use up scrap yarn!

This is a beginner-friendly garter stitch
pattern and is written to be worked
with ANY yarn weight and needle size.
The blanket is worked from the center
rectangles outward, using modular
knitting, so it is super customizable!

Sizes: The sample is 54 x 42”/ 137 x
107 cm, but the blanket can be easily
customized to your desired size.

Suggested Yarn: This pattern can
be worked up using any yarn weight!
The sample is knit using Kenya’s Knits
Snowdrift Select (75% Superwash Wool
21.5 mic, 25% Recycled Nylon) in
various test colorways.

Yardage: This pattern can be
customized to your desired size!
The sample uses 2,525yds/ 2,309m.

Gauge: This pattern is gaugeless and
assumes that you are using the same
needle size and yarn weight throughout
the pattern. That being said, if you’re
feeling adventurous, there are some
suggestions on customizing your
blanket coming up.

Suggested Needles: This
pattern can be worked with any needle
size!
The sample uses a US 5/3.75mm
circular needle.

Materials: A stitch marker, spare
needles/ scrap yarn to hold stitches on
3 sides of the blanket and a tapestry
needle.

Techniques: You will need to know
how to knit, slip stitches, slip slip knit,
and pick up and knit.
