The design of this square was inspired by the beautiful ceramic tiles made in the Shropshire village of Jackfield, which was at the heart of the industrial revolution in Victorian England.

Instructions are given for a 12” square in either Aran (worsted) weight or DK yarn, to use in any way you like or as the basis for The Jackfield Tile Tote Bag (published separately and available free here). Perfect for using up all those leftover scraps of yarn and experimenting with colour combinations.

Suitable for intermediate crocheters or confident beginners - not difficult but needs concentration.

The pattern is 7 pages long, with lots of photos and helpful hints. Also available in Spanish (9 pages), thanks to my very hard-working and talented translator Julia Veloso.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any problems - queries relating to the Spanish version will be passed on to Julia.
