Thanks so much for your interest in The Sandbridge Cardigan, part of my Basic Elements Collection. Basic Elements are components of your wardrobe you’ll want to reach for again and again.

The name of this cardigan - Sandbridge - comes from the beach where I lifeguarded as a teen. It’s a beautiful beach in Virginia that had stretches of undeveloped beach, lots of incredible wildlife, and the sorts of soul calming breezes and easy evenings you can only find in a place as beautiful as that beach is.

This sweater is knit with worsted weight yarn, and the sample was done with Rios from Malabrigo in the color Frank Ochre. With textured body and stockinette sleeves, this cardigan will work dressed up or down. I chose to use a collection of buttons I’ve been given over the years, but you could very easily select a uniform set of buttons in any of a number of different styles.
