Skill Level: Beginner - Intermediate

Techniques used:
Knitting in the round Working a folded collar Increasing stitches Short rows Dividing stitches for sleeves Duplicate stitch embroidery Working ribbing in the round.

Construction Overview:

The Smooth Sailing Tee is worked seamlessly from the top down:

Begin with a folded ribbed collar. Raglan markers are placed to divide the yoke into front, back and sleeves. Short rows are worked to shape the back neckline. The yoke is shaped using the Arly Increase Method. Once the desired raglan depth is reached, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold. The body is worked in the round to the desired length. Sleeves are completed and finished with ribbed cuffs. Nautical stripes are added afterwards using duplicate stitch.

The result is a lightweight summer tee with a classic fit and clean raglan shaping.
