Welcome to the pattern for The Two Seasons Baby Blanket! The inspiration for this blanket derives from my nesting phase of when I was pregnant with my first child! I felt that it would be a nice concept to have a stroller blanket that could have separable layers for different temperatures of weather. The texturing in the top layer is also inspired by how pronounced my bellybutton became the bigger my baby bump grew! This blanket is definitely a design from my heart, and I hope it is one that you can use to add magic to another expecting mother’s journey!

You will be using these Easy to Intermediate skills when working up this pattern: beginner hand sewing, and extended double crochet stitch.
It is also good to keep in mind that this pattern uses very specific materials to achieve the perceived design aesthetic. Do not become discouraged if these particular materials are unavailable to you—your Two Seasons Baby Blanket will still look amazing using substitutions! When finding great substitutions, always reference the section on gauge as a starting point, especially as it pertains to yarn weight categories.
