These socks were inspired by the tiny windows in my small, basement apartment. Sometimes I dream of bigger windows, a beautiful view, and some sunlight to actually keep my plants alive, but in celebration of the things I DO have, I created this sock pattern. The colorwork is meant to resemble the small windows from outside an apartment building. When you look at all the tiny windows from the outside, you see a grid of cozy, unique homes (perhaps with some knitters inside).

SIZING: S (M, L)
S: 56 sts 7” / 18 cm foot circumference
M: 64 sts 8” / 20 cm foot circumference
L: 72 sts 9” / 23 cm foot circumference

MATERIALS

• Approx. 100g fingering weight yarn for MC (I used Creme Tangerine by Sunday Fibre Co.)
• Approx. 20g fingering weight yarn for CC (I used Rosy by Sunday Fibre Co.)
• 2.75 mm 9” (23 cm) circular needles (optional, but I recommend 9” (23 cm) circulars for the body of the sock to avoid ladders!) (or size required for gauge)
• 2.75 mm DPN’s or 2.75 mm 32” (80 cm) needles for magic loop (for toe and heel) (or size required for gauge)
• Stitch markers (2) or ~ 1 yard of waste yarn

TECHNIQUES
• Long-tail cast on (or your preferred cast on method)
