This is a long stripey flared scarf. Knit from side to side
it can be made in one piece or in panels.
Laid out flat it forms a circle.

Staring with the short edge you are always increasing and working towards the point.

It is designed so you can make one or two panels at a time
joining together either with buttons or by stitching.
The pattern is repeated 6 times for the whole scarf.

Two panels made as one piece, can be buttoned together to make a cowl.

Colours: 3 x 100g 4ply
Choose a light and dark of the same colour, then add a contrast.

Size: average depth 30 cm,
maximum depth 40 cm
One panel: short edge 26 cm, long edge 60 cm
Six panels: short edge 156 cm, long edge 360 cm

Notions: 7 buttons, 15 mm in diameter, per separate piece.

Ways to wear it.
Long scarf: simply drape it around your shoulders, or wrap around your ears.
Cowl: two panels can be buttoned together.
As a wrap: with one end at your centre front, wrap around in a figure of 8, around your neck and waist to join to itself at the front.
