Hear, the howling sound of the cold northern wind. Hear how it rustles the autumn painted leaves and carries a fresh scent of the approaching winter. Hear, listen close enough, and perhaps you can also hear the sound of merry laughter from far far away. Its origins can be found deep within the forest, so remote that no signs of interfering human hands can be seen, where a small world of fairytales, untouched and forgotten, still exists.
Here, the ancient trees stand tall, magnificently painted in warm golden light from the setting sun. Dancing rather than walking through this remote part of the chilly forest came to a tall slender figure completely clad in green. His naked skipping feet upon the thick layer of brown leaves made no sound, but instead, a soft merry laugh came from his smiling mouth. His heart was filled with joy as his dancing feet carried him closer to his beloved home. His home, nestled high above the ground, in the top of a great majestic pine tree standing alone in a glade. The home he and his father had built, carefully constructed so that the beautiful house and the tree seemed like one. His home, his favourite place on earth!

34 sts and 45 rnds = 10x10 cm / 4x4” in pattern after blocking
