The Trigo mittens are the perfect companion to the Trigo hat and/or headband. The texture that the knit and purl stitches create remind us of a wheat stalk. It is a cozy and easy pattern perfect for quick gifts or artisan markets.

Only one skein of super bulky or bulky yarn will be needed to create a pair.

Instructions include one size that fits most adult size hands in two yarn weights: super bulky and bulky.

The pattern is written in US standard terms.

Skill level: intermediate.

SUGGESTED YARN:
Super bulky (6): Malabrigo Rasta, Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick.
Bulky (5): Malabrigo Chunky and DHG Piuma.

SUPER BULKY
Needles: US 13 / 9 mm
Gauge: 10 stitches x 14 rounds
Yardage: 90 yards / 83 m

BULKY
Needles: US 10 / 6 mm
Gauge: 14 stitches x 19 rounds
Yardage: 104 yards / 95 m

OTHER NOTIONS:
Double pointed needles (if not using magic loop method).
Stitch markers.
Tapestry needle.
Scissors.

SIZE AND FINAL DIMENSIONS (palm width x height):
3.5” x 10” / 9 x 25 cm.
