Knitted Vests are on-trend all year and can be layered over almost everything - this timeless piece is so versatile; the options are endless.
The Turtleneck Vest is knitted using 2 yarns: multicolour Noro Silk for body, and solid colour Sirdar Cashmere Merino Silk for the turtleneck and sleeve bands.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate.
Sts used: K, p, k2tog, p2tog. Also, you must know three needle join.

MATERIALS REQUIRED
• Noro Silk Garden Lite DK (2172) 5 (5, 6, 6, 7) x 50g balls 625 (625, 750, 750, 875) m / 684 (684, 820, 820, 957) yds, or any other Noro or other brand multicolour DK yarn.
• Sirdar Cashmere Merino Silk DK (410) 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) x 50g balls, 232 (232, 344, 344, 344) m / 254 (254, 381, 381, 381) yds.
NOTE If you substitute another yarn, please check gauge (tension) and yardage.
NOTE Please be aware that when knitting with the Noro Silk Garden yarn, the hand dyeing process means that colour changes will not necessarily match exactly as the above photo. This also means that the colours won’t match at the side seams of your vest. This distinctive random colour striping is part of the beauty of knitting with this quality yarn. Each row is a surprise!
• 1 Circular needle 3.50mm x 60cm (US 4) for knitting body
• 2 DPN 3.50mm (US 4) for three needle join at front neck.
• 1 Tapestry needle.
• Marker.
MEASUREMENTS AFTER BLOCKING
Sizes: Fits S (M, L, XL, 2XL).
Vest flat width (just below armhole) - 49 (52, 55, 60, 64) cm / 19 ¼ (20 ½, 21 ½, 23 ½, 25 ¼) in.
Vest length (from top of the shoulders) - 42 (42, 44, 44, 46) cm / 16 ½ (16 ½, 17 ½, 17 ½, 18) in.
Model is 161 cm tall and wears a size M.

GAUGE (Tension): 22 sts and 36 rows = 10cm (4 in), garment being blocked and measured over garter st pattern, using 3.50mm (US 4) needle.
NB Needle size is only a guide- if you get too many stitches for 10cm, take a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches for 10cm, take a smaller needle size. It’s very important to check your gauge (tension) before starting as working to the wrong tension will mean your garment won’t be size shown.
