06/2019: this pattern is now live in the Etsy shop!! Thank you everyone for your patience. It is now available with detailed instructions, and I had testers this time for it. Thanks again!

3-18-2019: Hi Ravvers! I am currently updating this pattern, fixing all mistakes, and I have added some revisions that will allow you to make this with thicker yarn and a tapered back with a button! Excited!! The new updated pattern will be available on here to purchase or on my Etsy. Thanks for all of you knitting this and loving on it!!

This pattern was inspired by a headband at Three Bird Nest that I saw on Pinterest a while back. I decided that I had to make one for myself!

It is a very lightweight headband (especially when compared to thick winter headbands). It measures 17 inches around (unstretched), however the garter stitching makes it very stretchy! It measures at 4 inches at the widest point (around the ears/garter stitch section) and 2.5-3 inches for the cabled section. I like that the cabled section is thinner because it doesn’t swallow my whole forehead!

Any heavy worsted weight yarn will do,and gauge is not incredibly important for this project since the garter stitching makes the headband so stretchy.
