INCLUDED

  1. Untamed – Heavy Weight (Worsted / Aran) The original, bold version with thicker yarn and dramatic texture.
  2. Untamed – Light Weight (Wheel of Alpaca edition) A graceful, wave-inspired variation — adapted for DK, sport, and fingering yarns. Ideal for long gradients and drapey fibers.

UNTAMED

Raw. Timeless. Instinctual.
Inspired by the untamed forces that can’t be reasoned with or controlled — like crashing waves, intuition, and the spirit of dragons.
This design celebrates that wild current — the soul that moves beyond logic, shaping form through spirit and creation.

CONSTRUCTION

Worked flat from tip to edge, Untamed grows into an asymmetric dragon-tail shape.
Regular increases build width while short rows create the jagged, stepped silhouette.

Once you learn the two key techniques — X-motifs and stacked single crochets — the pattern flows in a relaxing, 4-row repeat.

Both versions share the same core design, but are individually written and tested for their yarn weights.

GAUGE + NOTES

Because of the expressive curve, gauge and drape vary by yarn and tension.
If the top edge looks tight, go up a hook size — or stack 3 scs instead of 2 on odd rows.
As always: if in doubt, swatch it out.
